Pat O’Kane

Pat O’Kane attended Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts for 4 years. As a member of the Assumption Greyhounds, competing in NCAA Division II Ice Hockey, Pat captained the team to a NorthEast-10 Conference Championship game in 2010. Also in 2010, Pat was name NorthEast-10 Conference Player of the Year while leading the Greyhounds in scoring, and setting several school records. Pat was named to the All-Conference team twice during his four years and several Player of the Week awards. That same year, he was awarded Male Athlete of the Year for Assumption Athletics. In 2012, he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management, while posting 7 straight semesters on Academic Honour Role.

Throughout his collegiate years, Pat played Ice Hockey on Team USA Selects in several European countries. After graduation, he pursued a professional Ice Hockey career in Sweden’s Division 2 Ice Hockey League. In 2013, Pat came to the Australian Ice Hockey League as an Import for the Melbourne Mustangs, where he has led the team in scoring for 3 consecutive years, and voted MVP of both the Mustangs and the All-Star Game in 2015. As a captain, he helped lead the Mustangs to the 2014 Goodall Cup and the AIHL championship.

Pat has completed his Masters in International Business, studying and graduating from Monash University in Melbourne, Victoria. He has a passion for both academics and athletics, as he as been a part of both for almost 20 years. He believes strongly that his collegiate decision, commitment to sport and self-motivation has led him to where he is now, and is passionate about creating those same opportunities for Australian Student-Athletes.
